It was cold and blustery outside but surprisingly warm and entertaining inside the cavernous old Hawthorn Tram Depot last weekend 23rd July. The volunteers gave a fabulous talk and tour and we enjoyed the great exhibition currently on display. We weren’t the only ones who found it an interesting place to visit. Kids were also enjoying the interactive nature of the displays with freedom to ring the bell and “drive’ the trams. This year they celebrate 100 years since the foundation of the Hawthorn Tramways Trust. Open this weekend for Open Melbourne but also on August 13th from 11.00 am.
