Guest Speaker: Dr Adrian Jones OAM
Ernest Peacock’s substantial home, Pax, was on the corner of Riversdale and Glenferrie Roads. Dr Adrian Jones is researching Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s speech directed to the mothers of the fallen and believes that Ernest Peacock was probably the first person to interview Mustafa Kemal in Constantinople in 1918.
Dr Jones is Adjunct Honorary Senior Research Fellow in History, and in Classics & Ancient History, and former Associate Professor of History, at La Trobe University.
